Children should wear their PE kit to school on PE days.

Please arrive at school on time at 8:20 prepared for the day  

   

Welcome back to the new half term!  We hope you are ready for learning with lots of exciting activities based around WW2.

Reading - Letters From the Lighthouse by Emma Carroll 

 

.....and various non fiction texts many based around WW2. 

 

Writing - Using film units 'The Piano' and 'Beyond the Lines' and our class book letters from the lighthouse. We shall be focussing on figurative language, descriptive language and a non-chronological report.

 

Maths - Fractions,  converting units of measure and ratio.  

 

Science - Light.

 

History - World War 2.

 

PSHE - Relationships. 

 

Art - Collage. 

 

French - WW2

 

Music - Songs of WW2.

 

R.E. - What matters most to Christians and Humanists. 

 

The children have been giving homework books with an expectation to complete a page from the Math and a page from the English -  every week. This can be marked at home and will be checked by the teacher each Friday.  In addition to this, children should be reading for 30 minutes daily, using maths shed, spelling shed and TT rockstars.
