Welcome to Class 4C

PE days are Wednesdays and Thursdays. Children should wear their PE kit to school on PE days.
We are looking forward to another exciting half term in the new year! We have a lot of exciting topics to cover this term:
Our class book for this term is How to train your dragon by Cressida Cowell.
In Literacy we will be using this fiction book to inspire writing Character descriptions and sets of instructions.
In Maths we will be applying multiplication and division skills to a range of different problems, including identifying factors, arrays and different methods for dividing. Then we will work on length and perimeter.
In Science we will be learning about classification and organisation of different animals and organisms.
In history. We are studying the Anglo-Saxons and the Scots.
In Music we will continue to learn the Ukelele.
In Religious Education we will be learning about the Hindu beliefs regarding Brahman and what God is like.
In Art: Sketching and drawing skills.
In PSHE: What makes a community; shared responsibilities. How data is shared and used. Making decisions about money; using and keeping money safe.
In DT: Making pavilions and making structures.
In French: Objects in the classroom.
Please continue to encourage your child to do their weekly maths homework, read for at least 10 minutes every night, learn their weekly spellings and practise their times tables.
